Following recent events, the Major Contractors Group backed by the Government and the Health & Safety Executives has made a commitment for the whole of the Construction industry to be 100% certificated via the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
The Assessment & Training Company provides on-site assessment for the many non-qualified site operatives working in the Construction industry.
One of our Companies main objectives is to overcome the major barrier to improving the skills base of the construction industry and the potential threat of losses of employment to those without relevant qualifications. This process will help remove barriers to improving the skills base of the construction industry and provide the industry with an accredited competent and accountable workforce.
Since The Assessment & Training Company was formed on 20 January 2000, when it employed one full-time and one part-time employee, it has grown to become one of the largest and most successful accredited on-site construction assessment
centres in the United Kingdom. Assessing over 1000 construction workers a year, working with
350 construction companies and employing 28 full and part-time staff.
Continual improve of the service provided has always been our Companies philosophy, so that we delight clients and ensure they return and recommend us to others. This has been highlighted by the achievement of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 in May 2002.
